Review 4
The Nature of Author
This
is the time to find the nature of writer, and I am still so far from that
way. What I do since I got forth semester
is not usual, it made me crazy but so great circumstances. Writing is not only writing, this needs a
massive thing that I should sacrifice and I don’t want to take a leave from
this incredible journey. I know all of
this will give so much pain but I believe something beautiful still waits for
me in unexpected time.
Becoming a qualified writer is not
easy case, I should pass three complicated phase: Reader, Quality Reader,
Writer and finally Quality writer. All
of those are so much painful, when I believe that reader is easiest thing but I
was wrong. Essentially, reading is complex activity and to keep my focus still
in mind is more complicated even more when I see so many rigid words in
literature.
A reader should engage in all
particular problems in the book and it needs a proper background. Big problem
will show its terrible face when reader doesn’t know what the background is and
it usually happens in academic written which is identic with high
literacy. Additionally, academic writing
is going to be a dangerous when I should deserve critical thinking in mind and
take it out into some line in my log book, probably this is the hardest one.
In another cases, a box with full
complexity will appear after being a quality reader. If a reader need a great
of understanding then the author need space of excellences to connect with
their reader. A good writer should
provide proper diction and knowledge toward their target, this is a kind of way
to make qualified reader rather than helpless reader.
An author should describe that they
can make good adaptation with their reader, they should not make a high
literacy or unknown background in their book. Author has his own target, it
will be much better if they can engage with the reader’s knowledge. If the
author can’t engage with their knowledge reader so they are called by such
failure.
When I wrote my essay under
Chaedar’s article: Classroom Discourse to Foster Religious Harmony, I think I
have made a big failure. I was not a good author in that time, I have just know
what should I write in my essay exactly. Here we are:
1. It
should be explain classroom or why should classroom
Class
is the beginning of development, it is a sacred site and not everyone can join
I there. Only academic persons will engage with the complexity that happens in
classroom.
2. My
essay should contain remarks on classroom is complicated place.
So
many differences have a life in the class. We are united from a great number of
races, background of family, and characteristic. The big key of classroom
discourse is INTERACTION, and unfortunately I didn’t put them as a big point. I
didn’t explore how complicated TALK, since I know that TALK is an essence of
interaction but I have never thought that should be put in my essay.
3. Meaning-making
practice
a. Ideology
is a set of belief.
Although I stand with
so many differences in my classroom, but ideology should not be changed just
because of those.
b. Values
Examining the value in the class.
Simple example, we will not be a discipline person when we just learn about
theory, it needs example not line of sentence.
Making academic writing especially
critical essay should have big awareness, there are holes will make me fall
down. This is the right structure for my essay:
1. Definition
of classroom
2. Essence
of classroom discourse: interaction and talk
3. How
classroom discourse foster peace among differences of religion
4. What
is connectedness between religious harmony and classroom discourse?
