INTRODUCTION

Zinn is a historian who revealed in the darkness side of the American continent. He came as a super hero who revealed in his book that is not Christopher Columbus who discovered American continent. "Who is the most influential historian in America? Could it be Pulitzer Prize winners Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. or Joseph Ellis or David McCullough, whose scholarly works have reached a broad literary public? The answer is none of the above. The accolade belongs instead to the unreconstructed, anti-American Marxist Howard Zinn

Zinn told in his book A People's History Of the United States  that Christopher Columbus no hero to be proud by the American public. Christopher Columbus is genocide, the rapist, and mutilation native Americans at the time of the expedition and landing which is considered as the new world ( America ). As well as other sources say Columbus punish the local tribes , known as the Taino , cruelly . He enslaved the local population and massacred many more, according to Ward Churchill , a former professor of ethnic studies at the University of Colorado , until the year 1496 , the population has been reduced from as many as eight million to about three million. Zinn’s goal is to provide alternative viewpoints and to make readers think critically about the “official” version of stories as well as the alleged neutrality of textbooks.

Zinn is much more blatent in liberal bias. This is compared to say American History: A Survey by Alan Brinkley, where although there is some bias, it is toned down and is designed to inform and enable the reader to develop a perspective. Zinn's agenda is to convince the reader of his liberal ideas and show the darker side of the US history such as exposing that Teddy Roosevelt was a racist, and describing things such as the Moro massacre in greater detail. They are both based on facts though, and A People's History Of the United States is by far more interesting than a regular text book.

SUMMARY

There are several basic points that Zinn wrote on Columbus, whom we ridicolusly percieve as the hero/the discoverer of America. 

First ,Howard Zinn’s main purpose for writing A People’s History of the United States is to give history in an un-biased manner. For example, he says that he will not glorify any movement and denounce any ‘bad guy’ in history; he will give information as it should be given. Fairly.

Second, His thesis for the first eleven pages is to describe past events as they happened. Regarding Columbus, Zinn wouldn’t glorify him as a hero, because he wasn’t. He was violent and greedy and would describe him as such.

Third,  According to Howard Zinn, Christopher Columbus was wrongly portrayed as a ‘hero’, of sorts. Although he did discover America, there are quite a few significant reasons he should not be considered a hero. For instance, his discovery was accidental. He was looking for an alternate route to Southeast Asia.

Fourth,  Zinn’s basic criticism was that Morison told the truth about Columbus quickly and buried deep in the center of his book, and then moved on to things more important to him. In Zinn’s opinion, that is much like lying, or hiding the truth.

absolutely sure that Howard Zinn did not clarification about Amerika Continent because he knew history which found America it is a Muslim. Believe that Howard Zinn is Judaism and radical that “Judaism it is enemy Islam” from the prophet era until now, he afraid to show up the truth history found the America Continent or America history. He did not clarification in the world that Muslim is the first found America Continent, he did not want Islam be better than Judaism.

Howard Zinn changed paradigm all of people in the world,  believe literacy it is the one show up about history because with literacy it is very important and the history can won which the high literacy. We can write everything such as Howard Zinn and Columbus can changed paradigm and mind set someone in his book and make all the people belief.

CRITIQUE

First, Zinn why not reveal who the actual inventor of the America continent.? I believe that Zinn know who the actual inventor of American continent are believe that Zinn know who the actual inventor of the American continent are Moslems. Also I absolutely sure that jewish is enemy muoslem he afraid and shy to clarification who discoverer America continent. I have some fact that moslems who discoverer America continent.

Dr. Mroueh also wrote , he noted a few names such as the name of the holy city of Mecca in Indiana . Medina is the most popular name in America . There Medina in Idaho , Medina in New York , Medina and Hazen in North Dakota . Medina in Ohio , Medina in Tenesse . Medina in Texas with a population of 26 thousand inhabitants . Medina in Ontario Canada , the city Mahomet in Illinois , Moda in Utah and Arva in Ontario Canada. It is increasingly clear that the inventor of the Americas is a Muslim with all the evidence above .

Second,   I wonder that why Columbus was commended to go to India and the answer is technology. On the other hand, Columbus was not mandate with Isabella’s instruction. He should go to India but he did not do it, instead he considered the continent that he found is the continent of India. In fact, that was not India.

          Third, I bulge Zinn’s article why Zinn did not wrote any references in his article when talking about Columbus and others. For this reason, reference is the strength of any readings, without it the reader still perceive that the writer is like playing or pretending in his writing. The reference is one of the most essential things that will convince the reader when knows the writer’s writing. Remember, you are like ship captain that always instruct the vessel crew.

Forth, Zinn less explanation on influence the policy, beause in his book  always stated the negative side of Columbus, in contrary Columbus has much goodness. I I believe Because Zinn is radical and Marxism.

CONCLUSION

Indeed, literacy can change a paradigm and perspective and can make history like Columbus , which could make the global community believe the lies that he's been made ​​in a book that said it was he who discovered the new world of the Americas and Howard Zinn in his People's History of the United States Chapter 1 Columbus , the Indians , and Human Progress with a famous article entitled Speaking Truth to Power with Book . Berliterasi If they did not then they would not be able mebuat history . The effects of literacy is very big in our lives . Literacy can change everything . Howard Zinn has changed the paradigm of all people to all people believe about the fact Columbus , it was initially difficult and even opposition of the American population , but over time the people of the world realize that Columbus had been lying to the public , is Howard Zinn as a super hero who has open perspectives and paradigms communities around the world and lashes as well as to Americans who used to boast and celebrate Columbus and even celebrated as a national holiday in that time " Columbus day " that was not Columbus who discovered America . But he also does not open the actual facts and of all the above discussion of the book Howard Zinn and supported from a variety of sources , we can know the who Columbus was actually Howard Zinn would not open but the truth because he knows that the discoverer of the Americas were Muslims , Howard Zinn therefore not open due to the fact the actual inventor of the American continent are Muslims , and see Howard Zinn 's biography , he was a Jew , and we know that the Jews are the major enemies of Islam he did not want the Muslims victorious and more control of civilization in the world , which most importantly he did not want the world to know that the people who made ​​the history of Islam is not the Jewish people . Clearly , the theory that Columbus was the first to explore the Atlantic Ocean and set foot on the American continent is the old theory that has not been tested . No doubt that the era of Columbus is a very important time in the history of the world that is changing the way of life in the Americas and Europe . But to say that he was the one who first set foot on the American continent is a very weak theory .
